Job description

As our current Strategic Sourcing Manager will go on maternity leave from May 1st 2019 we are now looking for her replacement during 12 months period. 

You will lead a team of 6 Category managers and 3 Strategic Buyers located in Orebro. 

Your mission will be to: 

  • Support and coach the team
  • Support the overall Mining and Rock Excavation Service (MRS) division strategy and focus areas
  • Develop and improve Strategic Sourcing’s KPI:s. (Availability, Branding, Cost)
  • Work active with cost reductions both functional cost and purchase price reduction
  • Safeguard good cooperation with MR Capital Equipment Purchasing and other MRS functions
  • Secure that the supplier base fulfils the corporate governance standards, including environmental and ethical standards, of the Epiroc group
  • Be an active and responsible member of the MRS Sourcing Council as well as in local management team at the Hub 

This position requires travelling. 

Educational and experience requirements

  • University degree
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience from strategic sourcing and/or supply chain
  • Knowledge of business and leadership
  • Good command of English (Verbal and written) is a must. 

Personality requirements

We are looking for a dynamic and result oriented person with strong customer focus. You have high communication skill and personal drive, works proactively and have a good analytical skills. 

You have a great ability to work in teams and good leadership skills. On top of this you have a positive attitude.  

This position reports to the Vice President Strategic Sourcing MRS and has a “dotted-line” to the Operations manager at the Orebro Hub.
