Over the coming month we will take steps to unite our supply chain organizations for MRS (Mining and Rock Excavation Service) and RDT (Rock Drilling Tools). At the same time we will create a Global Master Data and Trade Compliance organization. Uniting the supply chains serving both RDT and MRS will create synergies between the two divisions and unlock opportunities to build world-class capabilities at scale.

Mission:

The Global Distribution Operations Manager is a critical role in Epiroc’s supply chain organization and is responsible for optimizing the global distribution network and footprint for both MRS and RDT.

Job description:

Optimize the distribution network for the MRS and RDT divisions

In this role you own the network optimization methodology as defined during the 2018-2020 Excellerate! Program and keep the methodology up to date with the latest evolutions

Network modelling/restructuring planning for all remaining regions.

You will also maintain optimal distribution network for Epiroc taking into account customer evolutions and mergers and acquisitions.

Packaging optimization for MRS and RDT

You will define packaging vision and strategy for MRS and RDT divisions (TCO, branding) and then implement the packaging strategy, in collaboration with supplier logistics development team.

To succeed you work in close cooperation with regional distribution operations, transportation, sourcing, marketing and capital division

Logistics project management

Define and implement logistics improvement projects in collaboration with regional logistics and coordinate implementation of logistics improvement projects

Define and implement 3PL strategy

  • Analyze existing 3PL supply base and performance
  • Supply base identification
  • Define 3PL strategy
  • RFQ and support contracting with suppliers
  • Handover to regional warehousing organization for operational follow up of 3PL partners

Educational and experience requirements:

To succeed in this role we think that you have a degree in Supply Chain and at least 10 years in global supply chain management (domestic and international experience).

If you have operational research background is an advantage, as well as experience with large data sets and processing.

You have experience in network optimization, location strategy, business case development and managing projects in a global organization.

Report writing and presentation skills is also a part of this job.

Country and city description
This positions location is TBS, preferably Örebro or Fagersta, and reports to the VP Supply Chain MR, Hans Kuehn. In this position extensive travel is required.
