On February 21, 2019, an important step was announced regarding our Excellerate journey towards making supply chain a competitive advantage for Epiroc. Over the coming month we will take steps to unite our supply chain organizations for MRS (Mining and Rock Excavation Service) and RDT (Rock Drilling Tools). At the same time we will create a Global Master Data and Trade Compliance organization. Uniting the supply chains serving both RDT and MRS will create synergies between the two divisions and unlock opportunities to build world-class capabilities at scale.

Mission:

The mission of the Global SC Excellence Manager is to drive the development of supply chain strategy, deploy best practices within global supply chain operations and to define and implement policies and standards accordingly.

Job description:

Define supply chain strategy and business planning

In collaboration with VP supply chain, develop the supply chain strategy and related business planning Support the supply chain transformation into an integrated global model including supporting in change management in local markets Set performance targets, monitor and report performance and ensure targets are met Build a world-class supply chain excellence network

 

Supply chain innovation

Define supply chain innovation opportunities Establish a process for identifying, scoping, and prioritizing supply chain innovation and improvement initiatives Establish a standard set of Key Performance Indicators and ongoing reporting related to SC innovation – using what has been defined by Excellerate! as well as those being defined for the PCs Lead and coordinate with SC owners for each SC stream of the project

 

Supply chain excellence

Review and assess existing supply chain deficiencies and optimization opportunities Drive complexity reduction by formulating optimization initiatives Lead commercialization lead-time reduction using Lean Tools Develop knowledge base and best-practice database for SC innovation

 

Define and implement policies and standards

 

Define, implement and maintain policies and standards for MR division, covering all supply chain aspects: order management, transportation, returns, provisions, consignment stocks, production IMS² coordination (SHEQ)

 

IT application ownership

 

Take business process ownership of implemented IT applications

 

People management

 

  • Establish the supply chain excellence organization (hiring, training, on boarding, coaching, etc.).
  • Manage the supply chain excellence team and coach regional teams in the delivery of the transportation and supply chain goals and objectives

 

Educational and experience requirements:

Degree in supply chain, logistics, operations, or related degree. MBA is preferable At least 10 years in global supply chain management (domestic and international experience) Experience in the global supply chain and global distribution IT systems and processes Experience in end-to-end supply chain management involving distribution, inventory management, and project management Experienced leader with track record of managing people in a global organization Strong English communication skill both verbal and written. Additional language will be preferred
