Job description:

Strategy & Performance

In this role you will validate and authorize MD future organizational aspects (organizational hierarchy, recruitment, employee transfers) and drive the importance and strategic direction of the MDG and TC Programmes on global level and across all Epiroc’s organizational layers (PC/DC/CC). You will recommend opportunities to process and resource efficiency and effectiveness (including ROI). You will also keep projects aligned with organization's strategy and portfolio direction and, prioritize and authorize strategic investments related to both MDG and TC.

Operational Execution

As Master Data Governance and Trade Compliance Global Manager you will manage MDG and TC budget/actual reporting (including Forecasting and Divisional X-charging. You will be the overall leader across all master data domains from strategy through project delivery as well as ongoing support and you will provide guidance and strategic business insight to the MDG and TC Teams, business and IT stakeholders across the organization.

 

In this role you will be the key decision-maker on data architecture, processes, policies and procedures (e.g. new or update hierarchy structure, data field definitions) and you will review and validate key deliverables from a business process, organizational and IT technology perspective. You should act as Epiroc’s design authority for MDM and Trade Compliance and be responsible for the Epiroc Internal Trade Compliance Program: customs procedures, export and import control, and compliance with ongoing sanctions and anti-boycott regimes.

 

People Management

You will manage Trade Compliance and Master Data Governance teams in the delivery of MDG and TC objectives and also validate and authorizes MD future organizational aspects (organizational hierarchy, recruitment, employee transfers).

 

Operational Management

 

You will handle the day-to-day management of the MDG and Trade Compliance Projects and Operational portfolio and manage annual budget and forecast, the cross-charging of MDG and TC costs to Divisions. You will report progress and next steps to Management and represents MDG and TC towards the to various process councils (as applicable).

 

Educational and experience requirements:

You should have a Master Degree in Business Administration, IT or related degree. MBA preferable. At least 10 years’ experience in either Trade Compliance Governance and/or Master data governance and operations is required. You should have proven Experience in Execution of Strategic Business Transformation Initiatives. Experience in implementing Data Governance and Trade Compliance best practices and process optimization is also required. In this role you should have prior experience engaging with trade regulators, and representing complex requirements for import and/or export activities. You should also have experience in one or more of the following data domains: Items, Customer, Supplier, Employee, Service Management, BOM. In this role you need to have a strong understanding or hands-on experience with data quality, data profiling, data structure classifications and workflow, and processes.

 

You should be a proven leader, capable to manage virtual and diverse project and operational teams on global scale and also have a track record of managing people in a global organization. It is important that you have the ability to build relationships, and you should be a strategic and skilled communicator. Since this role is global you need good English communication skills, both verbal and written. Additional language will be preferred. Experience with MDG and TC tools implementations is considered a plus.

Country and city description This positions location is TBD, preferably in Örebro or Fagersta and reports to the VP Supply Chain MR, Hans Kuehn. In this position global travel is required.
